Rendering of personal object
This is the result of a final project of a course of the CAD program Alias Autodesk. The challenge was to create a realistic CAD-model and rendering of a personal object. As the project consisted of groups of three students, one of the challenges was how to divide the work, and work as a team. Different parts, Shaders, and a rendering enviroment were developed in paralell processes and combined in the end.

Object of choice
The object we chose to work with was a pair of over ear SONY headphones. As the product had multiple different shapes, materials and finishes, it was seen as an appropriate challenge.
Rendering of Speaker
This rendering is the end result of a project in the course Product Semiotic, where the task was to design a speaker. The image is a rendering in Alias Autodesk, where only the speaker is a 3D-object and the background is a flat image.

Main parts
As a first step, the shapes of the main parts were created. The speaker itself, and the legs on which the speaker rests.
Details and base material
Smaller details like buttons and electrical chords were made out of simple 3D-bodies and projected curves. Quick versions of the intended materials shaders were then applied.
Polishing shaders
The shaders different aspects were then manually tuned to fit the intended materials.
Scale
Before the final rendering, the speaker was placed next to a mannequin to scale its size into desired proportions.
